How your details are used

You enter three things: your name, your date of birth and a reader. Each one has a fixed job.

What you enterUsed forNotes
NameName analysisCounts the strokes of kanji. It cannot be worked out from a name in Latin letters
Date of birthFour Pillars, Nine Star Ki, numerology, Western astrologyBirth time and birthplace are not used
ReaderNothingYour results stay the same; only the wording changes

Tarot, oracle cards, the I Ching and Lenormand do not use what you enter. Cards and hexagrams are drawn on the spot, so the same name and date of birth can bring a different result.

If you were born in January or February

Four Pillars and Nine Star Ki start the year at Risshun, around February 4, rather than on January 1. Months turn over on the solar terms too, which fall around the 6th to 8th of each month.

So if you were born early in a year or early in a month, you are counted as born in the previous year or month. If you were born on the day of Risshun or a solar term itself, the reading does not pick a side, and a note on the result screen tells you so.

What happens to your name and date of birth

Nothing you enter is stored on our server. Your reading is kept in your browser for the time being, and it is cleared when you go back to the top page.

The final combined reading uses AI, but the AI only receives symbols such as card numbers and calendar signs. Your name and date of birth are never passed to it.
