This is a reference translation. The Japanese version of these terms is the governing text; where the two differ, the Japanese version prevails.
By using Personal Fortune-Telling ("the service"), you are taken to have agreed to what follows.
1. What this service is
The service produces readings based on the traditional interpretations of methods of divination — tarot, Four Pillars, name strokes, face reading and palm reading among them.
Readings are reference material and do not guarantee future events or outcomes. They are intended as entertainment. For decisions of consequence — concerning health, law, money or the direction of your life — please consult a qualified professional.
2. Who can use it
- The readings that need no photograph are open to anyone.
- Readings that use photographs (face and palm) are for people aged 16 and over. This is determined from the date of birth you enter.
- No account is required.
3. What you must not do
The following are not permitted when using the service.
- Uploading a photograph of anyone other than yourself. Photographs of a face or palm must be your own. Uploading someone else's photograph means handling their personal data without their consent.
- Entering false information
- Interfering with the running of the service, such as excessive repeated access or automated bulk access
- Copying, republishing or redistributing the content of the service without permission
- Anything unlawful or contrary to public order and morals
- Anything else the operator judges to be inappropriate
Where any of the above is found, access may be restricted without prior notice.
4. How photographs are handled
Photographs are discarded from the server once the analysis is done, and are not stored. See the privacy policy for the detail.
5. About the compatibility reading
For the compatibility reading you enter, in addition to your own details, the name and date of birth of another person.
The whole of that calculation takes place inside the browser on your own device. Nothing you enter is sent to the operator's servers, so the operator neither receives nor stores the other person's details.
That said, the other person will usually not have consented, so the decision to enter their details, and what you do with the result, are your own responsibility. If you share the result with that person or with anyone else, please do so with care for how it may land.
The rule on photographs still applies to the compatibility reading: you may not use a photograph of anyone but yourself (see 3 above). Photographs are sent to a server for analysis, which makes them different from the name and date of birth that stay on your device.
6. About your letter
The letter (PDF) is produced for your own enjoyment. Looking after it once downloaded is up to you; the operator cannot reissue it.
7. Intellectual property
Copyright in the illustrations, text and design used on the service belongs to the operator or to the rightful owner. The card artwork was produced independently, within what the rights allow.
8. Limitation of liability
- No guarantee is given as to the accuracy or usefulness of any reading. The operator is not liable for what follows from acting on a reading.
- The service is provided free of charge, and its content may be changed, suspended or discontinued without notice.
- It may not work correctly depending on your connection or your device.
9. Advertising
The service is free because it is funded by advertising. Adverts appear while a reading is being prepared, but watching them is not required and the reading proceeds either way.
10. Changes to these terms
These terms may be changed as needed. A changed version applies from the moment it is published on this page.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the law of Japan.
Should a dispute arise between the operator and a user in connection with the service, the district court having jurisdiction over the operator's address shall be the court of exclusive jurisdiction of first instance.
Where you are a consumer under the Japanese Consumer Contract Act, the rights that Act and other mandatory provisions give you are not limited by this clause.
