Face and palm together — what each one is for
updated · 5 min read
Face and palm both belong to the family of methods that read from visible form. That makes them different in footing from the methods calculated from a date of birth and from those that read the chance of a moment.
Within that family, the face and the palm differ in what they read. Hold on to that and you can decide which to have done, or whether to do both.
They read different things
| Face | Palm | |
|---|---|---|
| Mainly read for | Temperament, and how you are now | The road walked, and tendencies ahead |
| How readily it changes | Fairly, with expression and how you live | The heavy lines move little |
| Ease of photographing | Steady if taken from the front | Changes greatly with the light |
| Left and right | Sides differ, and it is read as one face | The two hands are taken to read different things |
A face is the part of you other people see. So face reading is taken to show how you relate to those around you and how you are at present. A palm is visible only to you. That one is read as showing what has accumulated.
The difference shows in how readily each changes. A face moves with expression and habit; the heavy lines of a palm do not move easily. Hence the division: the face for now, the palm for accumulation.
One alone works
This service lets you choose the face alone, the palm alone, or both. It is built so that one on its own is a complete reading. There is no need to force yourself to send both.
These readings are, incidentally, for people aged sixteen and over. Photographs of a face or a palm identify a person, so the line is drawn at an age where the handling can be judged for oneself. The reading from a date of birth alone has no age limit.
If sending a photograph of your face is uncomfortable, the palm alone is fine. A palm is taken to identify a person less readily than a face. Fingerprints can appear in it, so it is worth knowing that.
Both together shows the overlap
Sending both lets the tendencies read from the face sit beside those read from the palm. Where the same thing comes out of both, it can be taken as a quality showing strongly.
The face might show strength in dealing with people while the palm suggests you do better going deep alone. That looks like a contradiction and is not: it can be read as being worn down while dealing with people. Having both is what lets you go that far.
Where they differ, that is a reading in itself: a gap between how you appear from outside and what you have built up. There is no need to decide which is correct.
Reading things laid over one another is the same approach this service takes to the nine methods as a whole. Nothing is treated as absolute; several angles are used. The same thing happens within this family too.
Common questions
- Can I have only one of them read?
- You can. Face alone, palm alone, or both. It is built so that one on its own is a complete reading.
- What if the face and the palm say different things?
- Neither is wrong. It is read as a gap between how you appear from outside and what you have accumulated.
- Which hand should I photograph?
- If you are taking one, we suggest your dominant hand. The hand you use every day is thought to show your present state more readily.
