Is there an age limit? Why only the photograph readings have one
updated · 5 min read
There are two kinds of reading here: one from a date of birth and a name, and one from photographs of a face or a palm. The limit applies only to the second.
Why only photographs
An image with a face in it identifies a person on its own. A photograph of a palm can include fingerprints. It is information that calls for more care than a name or a date of birth.
And once something is sent, we cannot take it back on your behalf. This service does not store them, and that is something you can only take on trust after reading the explanation. Which is to say it takes some judgement to decide whether to trust it.
The analysis runs on an external provider's system. That includes data leaving the country, and you need to understand what is involved before deciding. Sixteen is the line we drew for being able to make that judgement.
The screen before you send says all of this, and you have to read it and then decide whether to send. Understanding what pressing an agreement button means is the premise.
| Reading from a date of birth | Reading from photographs | |
|---|---|---|
| Age limit | None | Sixteen and over |
| What is sent | A name and a date of birth | A photograph of a face or a palm |
| Sent externally | Only for the overall reading | Always, for the analysis |
| Stored | No | No |
About the number sixteen
Age is calculated from the date of birth. The readings become available from the day of the sixteenth birthday, counted in Japan time. Please do not enter a false age.
When a child uses it
The reading from a date of birth is open to anyone. So that a result is not taken too heavily, though, we would suggest an adult reads it with them.
What to watch for above all is taking a result as fate. The readings here show tendencies; they do not announce a settled future. Adults get that wrong easily enough too.
This service avoids flat assertions and always adds, even to an unwelcome result, something about what to do next. Even so, there is an age at which whatever is written gets believed as it stands.

Common questions
- I am under sixteen and would like the photograph reading.
- We are sorry, but it is not available. Age is determined from the date of birth, and under sixteen the screens for the photograph readings cannot be reached.
- Is there an age limit on the reading from a date of birth?
- There is not. The reading from a name and a date of birth, without photographs, is open to anyone.
- Can I use it with a parent's consent?
- At present it is not available under sixteen, with or without consent, because we have no way of verifying that consent.
