Reading your letter — why it fits on one page, and how to use it
updated · 5 min read
The letter gathers the content of a reading into a PDF. It lets you keep what you read on screen in a form you can come back to. You can download and save it, or open it on screen and share it.
The structure is fixed. A few sections carry the readings, and a summary sits at the end. The sections are not the results of individual methods but groupings by the tendency that was read.
They are not divided by method because that reads better. Set out as the Four Pillars result, then the name result, the same thing keeps reappearing. Grouped by what was read, there is no repetition and the argument runs through.
Starting from the summary is fine
There is no need to read from the top. If you are short of time, the summary at the end carries the content on its own, because it draws the sections together.
If you want to take your time, starting from the sections works better. Following each in turn and then reading the summary shows you where its closing line came from. The same content settles differently.
You can also go back to one section that interests you. Each carries badges saying which methods it was read from, so you can trace the grounds.
It fits on one page
The letter always fits on a single page. The type size is adjusted automatically to the amount of content, so however long it runs, nothing spills onto a second page.
Printing assumes A4. The type can become small, so if it is hard to read, enlarging it on screen suits better.
Saving it is up to you
| How it works | |
|---|---|
| Storing the letter | The operator does not store it |
| Reissuing | Not possible. The same one cannot be made again |
| Expiry | None. It is readable as long as you have it |
| Sharing | At your own discretion |
Because no reading is kept on a server, the same letter cannot be produced afterwards. If you want it, save it when you receive it.
When a phone will not save it
Opened inside an app's own browser, the download sometimes does not work. In that case choose to open it on screen, then use the browser's share button and choose to save to files.
On devices that support the share sheet, a share button appears there and then. If one way does not work first time, try the other.
Common questions
- Can you reissue my letter?
- We cannot. Since no reading is stored, the same one cannot be made again. Please save it when you receive it.
- Does my name appear on the letter?
- The name you entered is printed on it. Bear that in mind if you are showing it to anyone.
- Is it readable when printed?
- Printing assumes A4. With a lot of content the type becomes small, so the finer parts read better on screen.
